The Alabama Spring Term trip was a great opportunity to serve and interact with people in need. I’m very grateful for having been a part of the experience. — Scott Knust
The Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement is a resource center for service-learning initiatives through various academic units. The center supports faculty and student development through service-learning workshops and other educational programs. The office also coordinates and offers community service-learning, publicizes community servicelearning opportunities to the campus community, and coordinates and publicizes grants available for service-learning activities. At the end of each semester, all the students involved in service-learning showcase their projects and experiences at the Service-Learning Expo.
We would like to know your thoughts about service-learning. If you would take a few minutes for our survey, we would appreciate it.
The university is pleased to recognize the students who perform volunteer service. The CSLCE sends your hours to the Registrar's office who place them on your transcript. In order for documentation to be posted for the current semester, forms must be received by the end of final exam week! Submit the Blue Form to the CSLCE office (Esch Hall 231) or Steven Freck in Schwitzer Hall 210, and please don't forget the survey on the back.
